Clean up time…

Classes will be starting next week for me. I am teaching at Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) and this semester I have the Photoshop and Photo 1 classes. Needless to say I have a bunch to do to finish getting ready for these classes and to clean up around my home office and studio. One of the things that I still need to do is finally put away the stack of books I had out for my thesis work.

Most of these books are about symbolism, and especially dream symbolism. Photography is a great tool to use your voice to say something, but without it being in a way that might seem in your face. It allows the viewer the opportunity to see themselves in someplace different or feel what someone else might feel in that time and place. The ability to effectively use symbolism is an incredible tool in photography. The more we learn, the more we grow, and the more we can say in our own way.
