Take pride in how far you’ve come. Have faith in how far you can go. But don’t forget to enjoy the journey. ~Michael Josephson
My fascination with creative photography began back in high school while working as a yearbook photographer. I found myself drawn to the magic of analog photography, spending countless hours experimenting in the darkroom and exploring alternative processes that made each image unique.
Years later, after moving to the Shreveport-Bossier area, my passion naturally expanded into commercial, portrait, and fine art photography. This dynamic mix continually fuels my creativity and gives me the chance to keep learning and having fun. Whether I’m capturing portraits, experimenting with photographic printmaking, or crafting with paper and arts materials, my goal is always the same—to create images that resonate, inspire, and last.
One thing I’ve learned through years of personal projects and connecting with other photographers is that creative inspiration can ebb and flow. Have you ever felt like you’re out of ideas or just don’t have time for a personal project? Trust me, you’re not alone. That’s why I built this website—not just as a resource for learning alternative photographic processes or mastering paper crafts and arts, but as a hub for creative fun and inspiration.
I hope you’ll find fresh ideas to expand your creative photography toolbox here. My aim is to help you push your creative boundaries, experiment with new techniques like photographic printmaking, and reconnect with the joy that first drew you to pick up a camera.
It's me, Jenn!
… the creative mind behind Jenn Brooke Photography and Jenn Brooke Photo Arts. For over 15 years, I’ve poured my passion and expertise into every project I take on, blending technical mastery with a unique creative vision. My work spans commercial and fine art photography, and I’ve been fortunate to have it showcased in exhibitions like the duo show P2K 2025 and Portrait 2000 honoring Neil Johnson at Artspace in Shreveport, LA.
I hold a Bachelor of Science from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, as well as a Master of Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I’m also a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) with the PPA. Before diving into full-time photography, I owned Mountains of Memories Scrapbooks, where I spent over five years inspiring and educating a wonderful community of paper craft enthusiasts.
My curiosity fuels everything I do—I love exploring analog, digital, and alternative photographic processes. I’m always experimenting, learning, and sharing what I discover with others. If you’re wondering how to turn inspiration into incredible images, I hope my journey will spark your creativity. Take a look around my website, join our creative circle, and let’s explore new ideas together.
